What are the impacts of globalization on the net?

      Globalization is a process of interaction and connection between the individual, governments and companies of different nations. This process is driven by international trade and investment, and nowadays, is aided by the information technology, for example, the internet. According to Leo Suryadinata, globalization is defined as the growth of the distant loyalties in such a way that local happenings are shaped by events occurring miles away or vice versa, which means that the distances between individual is getting closer because of globalization. This process has effects on political systems, on economic development and prosperity, on the culture, and on social activities around the world.
       Globalization has occurred for thousand years, and is getting faster with the help of the internet service. Thomas Friedman has said that today globalization is “farther, faster, cheaper, and deeper.” With this, the economies started to open domestically and internationally. Internet became a useful tool for identifying and pursuing economic opportunities, which includes faster and more informed analyses of economic trends around the world. Besides, the businessmen transfer their assets easier, and keep connected with the business partner who is far away from them. This made them does not have boundaries and obligation to conduct their business. The internet certainly has benefit the consumers, investors and the businesses. The market is now more competitive with consumers having greater choices.
       Due to the get rid of the boundaries between the countries, globalization on the internet also allows poor countries and their citizens to develop economically and eventually lead them to raise their standard of living. As the concept of free market is more likely to develop through globalization, therefore the developing country can have the opportunity to growth too. A study claims that the creation of an unfettered international free market has benefited multinational corporations in the Western world at the expense of local enterprises, local cultures, and also the ordinary people. Subsequently, they can also work internationally, as the globalization of new financial market is linked by the communication revolution, which is the internet.
         The political system also changed because of the globalization on the internet. People and governments try to manage the flow of capital, labor, goods, and ideas that constitute the current wave of globalization. If they can control the wave of the globalization, they probably can stabilize their countries and once a country has a stable politic, the country can develop faster and get advanced.
      As mentioned before, communication technology has changed our information systems. Due to the emergence of the internet, the people around the world easily get connected and integrated. The internet provides the people around the world a platform to keep connected and share the information. The culture between the different ethnics group can be learn easily. The internet in its unquantifiable shape and form has over the past decade provided a common platform upon which countries from all corners of the Earth are able to communicate and share information. Some ‘cyberculture’ also exist within the internet. Many jargons from the internet have come to our face to face conversation in facts nowadays. Words such as LOL and ROFL are invented by the young people, and many people are using it on the internet and the face to face conversation nowadays The globalization on the internet has created this kind of culture.
